It is not necessary to have passed your Theory test prior to having driving lessons and in some cases it is advantageous to have lessons whilst studying for your theory test as you will encounter some of the scenarios in the test.
This is the most difficult question to answer as it depends solely on the capabilities and standard of the individual, no pupil will be booked a test date until both they and their instructor are confident that they will pass. The "National Average" to get to test standard is approximatley 40hrs. We have a lower average than this at 36 hours, but it must be pointed out that some pupils need more than this.
The answer to this is of course, all lessons are booked in agreement between you and your instructor and therefore the amount of lessons that you have in any given week is your decision.
